Boracay Activities:
Things to do in Boracay, Philippines.
Boracay Island is the gem of the Philippines. Only seven kilometres long, the island is surrounded by palm fringed beaches and clear turquoise waters.
With its beauty and vibrant atmosphere, nobody needs to be stuck for what to do
in Boracay.
Boracay Beaches:
White Beach:
One of the most popular things to do in Boracay is to visit the famous White Beach Boracay, which is a 4 km long stretch of soft white sand lined with restaurants, bars, hotels and shops. It has been voted the most beautiful beach in the world in 2007 by Yahoo Travel. Starting from the north end: the sand is the finest and the beach is the widest at the very northern end of the beach, so this is a good place to go swimming. There are also some very nice hotels and upmarket restaurants here. Next you come to Station 1 area where there are several popular nightclubs. The middle section (Station 2 area) is the busiest section of the beach with lots of shops and restaurants, and live music every night. This section is a lot of fun, but can get crowded and noisy. Further south down the beach, things get a little quieter, and right down at Angol point there are some quieter spots more reminiscent of the Boracay of old.
Bulabog Beach:
The two main and largest beaches in Boracay are White Beach in the west, and Bulabog Beach on the east side of the island. The centre part of the island is less than a kilometre across, and you can walk from Bulabog Beach to White Beach in under ten minutes! Bulabog Beach is the best beach in Asia for windsurfing and kite boarding. Nowadays several top international windsurfing and kite boarding (kitesurfing) competitions are held here annually. With its steady onshore breezes, Bulabog Beach Boracay is famous for kiteboarding / kitesurfing and windsurfing from around October to May each year. Bulabog Beach has a totally different vibe to White Beach; less commercialised and less crowded. If you are wondering what to do in Boracay, then head over to Bulabog Beach which is the only beach in the Philippines with full facilities for windsurfing and kiteboarding including qualified instructors and equipment. There are several small hotels, restaurants and quality apartments to rent on this beach, and the best resort is Palm Breeze Villa, an award winning boutique resort set on the cliff at the northern end of the beach offering guests magnificent views over the entire bay.

Water Sports:
Bulabog Beach Boracay is known as the best windsurfing and kiteboarding beach in Asia (see above). Other water sports to be found in Boracay include jet skis, banana boats, and parasailing. There are water sports centres on the Bulabog Beach front roadway (close to Palm Breeze Villa resort), and you can also find plenty of commissioners wandering up and down White Beach who can help you to book water sports and other activities in Boracay, and will bring you to the correct place.
There are numerous scuba diving shops up and down the length of White Beach offering several dives a day. The diving is good in Boracay and close to shore, so it is easy to do a dive in the morning and be back well before lunch time. The scuba diving shops provide lessons in various languages, equipment hire, provide the boats and carry your equipment making for a very enjoyable time.
Golf:
On land there is a beautiful 18-hole Golf Course , Fairways and Bluewater offering quality golf in a magnificent setting with sea-views.
Horse Riding:
Boracay Horse Riding Stables has been established on Boracay Island for twenty years and offers horse riding trips around the island. A pleasurable and relaxing way to explore Boracay.
Other Boracay activities include yoga, cycling, hiking, gyms and much much more.
Relax and unwind in the world class spas, enjoy beach massages, sunset cruises, sunbathing or simply do nothing at all.
